Actor Dean Gild

Dean is an international award-winning director, writer, and producer, and has been immersed in the performing arts for over 15 years.

At an early age, Dean found his passion for entertainment and the performing arts, and It didn't take long for his enthusiasm to develop into the ambitious dream of one day creating his own musicals, plays, films, and television shows.

Now, Dean has received the necessary tools and experience from industry mentors and institutions such as; the Victorian College of The Arts, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and the Theatermakers Studio Mastery in Development and Production, to begin fulfilling his dream.

Dean was the writer, co-producer and director of the short film 'In My Head' (2018), which was featured in 8 global film festivals, in cities across Australia, the US and the UK, and won 'best first-time director' at the Oniros Film Awards in Italy.

What Dean enjoys more than anything, is the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded creatives to develop truly innovative, exciting, and thought-provoking productions, to cast a reflection on society in order to explore and enhance the intrinsic positivity at the core of all good stories and people.

As a young professional himself, Dean is dedicated to creating opportunities for other junior creatives to gain experience, build confidence, and have their artistic voice heard through the work of DHB Theatrical.

After working as a creative and strategist within various advertising and communications agencies, the establishment of DHB Theatrical in 2020, marks Dean's official entrance into the entertainment industry. He is thrilled to be collaborating with a slew of incredible talents on his latest project, SUDDENLY; A Short New Musical, and he cannot wait to show you what's in store, and to continue learning from everyone around him.

The Woman In Black

The terrifying original. Live on stage.

After three decades in the West End, The Woman in Black is coming to Australia. Starring incredible duo John Waters (Doctor Doctor, Offspring, Rake) and Daniel MacPherson (Land of Bad, Foundation, Neighbours), don’t miss this thrilling theatrical exploration of terror.

Susan Hill’s acclaimed ghost story comes dramatically alive in Stephen Mallatratt’s ingenious stage adaptation – “The most brilliantly effective spine-chiller you will ever encounter” (Daily Telegraph). Robin Herford’s gripping production is a brilliantly successful study in atmosphere, illusion and controlled horror. “One of British theatre’s biggest – and scariest – hits” (The Guardian).

Britain’s second longest running play after The Mousetrap, The Woman in Black tells the story of a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black. He engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul. It all begins innocently enough, but then, as they reach further into his darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds.
